Hyundai Creta SX Tech and SX(O) trims discontinued: A brief context

With the last recorded prices ranging from Rs 15.69 lakh to Rs 17.22 lakh, the SX Tech was a mid-level trim that offered ADAS tech at a more affordable price point. Since it has been discontinued, buyers seeking these features will have to pay up to Rs 1.48 lakh more for the top-end Creta King, which is the only one to offer Level 2 ADAS.

As for the SX(O), it was the top-of-the-line trim when the facelift to the second-generation Creta was introduced in 2024. It lost that spot to the King trim, which was introduced the next year. Despite discontinuing the SX Tech and SX(O), Hyundai has added no features to the rest of the line-up. Those seeking a few feel-good features on a particular trim could opt for the Summer Edition at an additional cost of up to Rs 55,000.

2026 Hyundai Creta powertrains

The Creta continues to offer a trio of 1.5-litre petrol, turbo-petrol and diesel engines. The outputs are 115hp and 144Nm for the naturally aspirated petrol, 160hp and 253Nm for the turbo-petrol and 116hp and 250Nm for the diesel. While a 6-speed manual is standard on the naturally aspirated petrol and diesel engines, Hyundai also offers a CVT with the former and a 6-speed automatic with the latter. The turbo-petrol, however, comes mated with a 7-speed DCT gearbox only.
